We’ve Made Changes To Keep You Safe

Have you avoided seeing the dentist due to concerns about your health? In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we completely understand. Unfortunately, avoiding even routine checkups and cleanings could mean trouble for your smile’s health and beauty. In today’s blog, your Independence, MO, dentist is explaining what we’re doing to keep you safe so you can visit our practice for the care your smile needs.

To keep our patients and team members safe, we will be following the strict protocols and precautions recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Centers For Disease Control (CDC), as well as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). For example, we will be scheduling fewer visits each day to help ensure plenty of time to clean and disinfect in between visits, and to ensure proper special distancing in the waiting room and treatment areas. When we schedule your visit, we will ask a series of screening questions about symptoms or whether you’ve visited an rea with a high infection rate.

When you arrive in the parking lot, give us a call and let our team know. We will invite you in once the waiting room is clear enough to provide recommended social distancing. We will require you to wear a mask, and our team members will have plenty of hand sanitizer available to use. We’ll take your temperature, and ask more screening questions. You will need to wash your hands, and we will not be allowing any visitors, such as kids or family members, to accompany you. Our team will be using hydrogen peroxide rinses and will be wearing PPE, including masks, face shields, gowns, and gloves.

A checkup and cleaning visit gives our team a chance to monitor your smile and offer care for issues in the early stages, so you avoid serious discomfort or the risk of tooth loss. You should see us about once every six months, but always let us know if you have a fever or experience other symptoms prior to arrival so we can reschedule. If you have any questions about our checkup and cleaning visits, or our new health and safety measures, then contact our team today. We want to make sure you continue to enjoy optimal oral health!

We want to ensure that when you visit us with treatment, you enjoy peace of mind and quality dental care.
